One of the challenges with any app on any smartphone is that it requires at least one, and more often two hands to operate. 

But not any more. 

After extensive co-development work, Be My Eyes and Meta are proud to provide what promises to become game-changing accessibility with hands-free access to the Be My Eyes platform.

Call a volunteer

With a simple voice command, you can now call a Be My Eyes volunteer, who will ‘see-through’ the camera of your smart glasses and provide audible feedback directly through the open-ear speakers. 

Visual assistance has never been so easy.

Switch seamlessly between smartphone and glasses

Initiate a volunteer call through Be My Eyes on your Ray-Ban Meta Glasses and toggle to the camera on your smartphone - perhaps to read some fine print or for a high resolution wide-angle view - all with a simple double-push of a button.

Alternatively, start a call on your smartphone, perhaps to your trusted group or a company in Service Directory and toggle to your Ray-Ban Metas to continue handsfree.

Developed in partnership with Meta engineers, Be My Eyes is the first and only accessibility tech for blind or low vision users available on Ray-Ban Meta Glasses.

This first release provides hands-free access to volunteer calls, but our respective engineers will continue to evaluate and develop new capabilities over the coming months.
